Black sun is Franklin’s most way out project, usually known for his hippie world music, here he gives us a whole side of dark psych worthy of any cult classic. Really amazing production, a true labor of love considering this was only released as a library lp on the private SOLEIL MASQUE label – and i might add, press in very small quantities. The other side is Franklin’s RETRO BAND ORCHESTRA which couldn’t be more different – anyway, give it a listen.
