Very rare private press from Finland by Erkki Kurenniemi and Jukka Ruohomäki. Erkki is a pioneer of electronic art in Finland, a former nuclear scientist who composed computer-based music and designed his own instruments at Helsinki University’s Department of Music during in the early sixties. Jukka Ruohomäki (1947) is a self-taught composer who has specialised almost entirely in electroacoustic music. He started working in 1970 at the Electronic Music Studio of Helsinki University’s Department of Musicology with Erkki Kurenniemi his guide and tutor. As you can see this is an historic little record that’s not to be missed. Check the audio for some goodness from Finland. Light noise can be heard in the quiet middle part.
